MyHighSchoolGPA.org is a small, independent website built around one goal giving high school students a fast, free, and accurate way to calculate their GPA both weighted and unweighted without signing up for anything or downloading an app.

Why this site exists

Figuring out exactly how Honors and AP classes affect your GPA can be confusing, and school portals don't always show both the weighted and unweighted number side by side. This calculator was built to make that comparison instant.

How the calculator works

Grades are converted to point values on the standard 4.0 scale, multiplied by each course's credit hours, and averaged across all your courses. Weighted mode adds one extra point for courses marked Honors or AP. The full explanation, with examples, is on the calculator page itself.

A note on accuracy

Every high school has its own grading policy, and some use different weighting rules than the standard model used here. This tool gives a reliable estimate based on the most common grading scale in the US always check your official transcript or your school's counseling office for the number that goes on your records.
